Swimming and bathing in the hotel pool

The pool area in particular is a special highlight for your children on vacation. To romp and play in the water all day in wonderful weather is a holiday experience that your children will fondly remember.

However, keeping the huge masses of water in a hotel pool clean according to health guidelines requires complex technology. The pool pumps often provide top performance, especially in the areas of water attractions and slides. Here it is particularly important that you instruct your children before using them to keep a sufficient distance from the suction grille and, if the grille is loose, do not reach into it under any circumstances.

If you or your children have discovered a source of danger in the hotel pool, please inform the hotel staff immediately so that they can take care of it. Please also inform your tour guide on site. She will check that the source of danger has been properly eliminated. Regardless of this, the following rules of conduct should be observed in order to avoid accidents:

  • Use the pool only during the official usage times.
  • Please observe the bathing rules and explain them to your children.
  • Do not leave your children unattended by and in the pool, as lifeguards are not at the pool in every country / hotel.
  • Do not jump into water less than five feet deep.
  • Please do not step on the plastic overflow channels on the edge of the pool, as they can collapse if suddenly stressed.
  • Due to the constant exposure to water, tiles in the pool can occasionally come off. Take care when entering the pool and please inform the hotel staff immediately if you discover loose tiles.
  • In the case of an existing slide: Please ask your children to leave the catch basin or the pool area immediately after emerging from the water and not to go swimming or playing.
  • Pay attention to the depth information on the edge of the page so that you do not get unprepared from the non-swimmer area into the swimmer area.
  • Please note the pictograms and notes on use and water depth at the pool and on the slides.
