Description
Experience Sozopol
Drive along the charming south coast to the Ropotamo nature reserve and discover one of the most beautiful landscapes in Bulgaria. With 1.000 hectares, Ropotamo is one of the largest nature reserves in the country. Over 200 bird species can be spotted here. By boat you will enter the heart of this jungle-like vegetation.
The former fishing village of Sozopol is a little gem, mostly because of its idyllic location on a rocky peninsula. The city center inspires with beautiful churches from the Middle Ages, with wood-paneled houses and flowered inner courtyards in the old Bulgarian style. The city center is a World Heritage Site and is under monument protection.
Sozopol attracts numerous students, intellectuals and artists. It is this combination that makes Sozopol so attractive: the romantic old town with its cobbled streets and the good tourist infrastructure with shops, restaurants and street vendors,
which also attract musicians, poets and artisans.
