Description
The smugglers' den
In the bay of Puerto de San Miguel, below the village, is the imposing stalactite cave Cova de Can Marca. Smugglers once discovered this stalactite cave, which is more than 100.000 years old, and used it as a hiding place for their smuggled goods.
The cave's stalactites and stalagmites are colorful and rich in shapes. There are regular German-language tours that are accompanied by music and special light effects.
Visiting the stalactite cave is a special experience and one of the most popular excursions on Ibiza.
