Export of the Tunisian currency
Please note that the export of Tunisian currency (Tunisian dinar) verboten is. Please exchange your remaining Tunisian money at one of the banks in the airport building on presentation of the bill of exchange (maximum TND 100 per person). After passport and customs control, payments can only be made in foreign currency.
Information for long-term vacationers
If you stay in Tunisia for longer than four months as a German tourist, you have to pay a fee per week in the form of tax stamps when you leave the country. These tax stamps can be purchased directly at the airport or in advance from the local tax authorities (recette des finances). For other nationalities, the duration of the tourist visa is shorter. Please inquire about this at the responsible tourist police. We reserve the right to make changes and are beyond our control.
