New and exclusive in the DER Touristik program
Every Tuesday you go with exclusively German-speaking guides to two highlights of Tenerife, which are so unique that they have been protected by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
First stop in the morning is the village of Vilaflor. At 1400 m, it is the highest and most beautiful village in Tenerife. Here you will have a 20 minute break to explore.
A few minutes later you reach the Teide National Park, the first UNESCO World Heritage Site on the island. At various points you can experience the unique lunar landscape with the highest mountain in Spain in the middle. Marvel at the whims of nature at the Zapatilla de la Reina and at the Roques Garcia and admire the 3700 m high, active volcano Teide.
Your journey takes you through film sets from Hollywood films and various volcanic landscapes. Passing the astronomical observatory, it goes on the back of Tenerife to La Laguna.
The former capital of Tenerife will fascinate you with its historical center, its chessboard-like townscape, its wide streets and its numerous churches and monasteries. First, stroll with the guide past the most important buildings to the market hall and then enjoy lunch (not included) on your own in the city, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.
In the afternoon, head past Santa Cruz to the coastal town of Candelaria. Here you will visit, among other things, one of the most important church buildings in Spain, the Basilica of Candelaria. Marvel at the 9 Guanche Kings next door and stroll along the promenade before your driver takes you back to your hotels.
Great nature is combined with unique culture on this excursion, so that this excursion will remain unforgettable.
