The island capital

Mahón (approx. 25.000 inhabitants) has the most important attraction, the beautiful natural harbor, which protrudes like a fjord-like bay over 6 kilometers inland. One speaks of the largest natural harbor in Europe and one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

The church of Santa María with its large organ from 1810, which is considered one of the most important in the world, is particularly worth seeing.

Nearby is the Puente de San Roque, part of the old city fortifications.

The Calle Hannover with its numerous shops invites you to go on an extended stroll through the city and shopping.
