Experience Canarian joie de vivre

With around 28.000 inhabitants, Arucas is the third largest city on Gran Canaria. The Gothic cathedral in the town center gives the town a special expression and attracts many visitors.

The region around Arucas is the most important cultivation area for sugar cane, which by the way has been cultivated in Gran Canaria since 1489. The Arucas rum distilled from it is not only known across the island. The rum distilleries are often visited by interested tourists.

To experience the Canarian joie de vivre and atmosphere, you can stroll through the market. Local products such as ham, cheese and sausage as well as fruit and vegetables are on sale here. The handicrafts market stalls present antiques, embroidery, ceramics and paintings.
