Nature reserve made of sand and hills
The "Dunas de Maspalomas" extend over a length of 7 km and a width of 2 km between Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles. The beautiful dune landscape has been under nature protection since 1987, after environmentalists vigorously campaigned for the preservation of this special habitat.
Please help actively to protect the dune landscape - one of the most beautiful sights of Gran Canaria:
- Do not leave the marked paths - for nature conservation and for your own safety
- Help preserve the vegetation! It is important for the formation and development of the dune system.
- Don't leave rubbish lying around!
- Avoid making unnecessary noise so as not to disturb the wildlife.
