Tips from us for you

Coral reefs are one of the natural wonders of the world. Under the motto "Achieving more together - for more environmental and social compatibility" we cordially invite you to ensure that the reefs are attractive for future generations and the locals
population as a livelihood.

At the beach:

  • Never step on corals and only touch them with your eyes.
  • Throw all rubbish in garbage cans, including cigarette butts.
  • Avoid oily sunscreens.

In the souvenir shop:

  • Do not buy coral as a souvenir or jewelry.
  • Anyone who buys souvenirs made from other reef creatures or turtle shells, for example, is also damaging to nature.
  • Trade in endangered animal and plant species is prohibited under international agreements. In some cases strictly controlled: it may be necessary to present a permit from the exporting country. In some cases, there are severe penalties.

In the restaurant:

  • Don't order endangered sea creatures. The diving school knows the endangered species.

For boat trips and diving:

  • Don't touch the coral. Even the slightest touch can hurt them.
  • Do not stir up the sand with flippers.
  • Don't feed the fish.
  • Take notes or photos as a reminder, but don't take any pieces of coral or shells with you.
  • Make sure your ship's captain doesn't anchor over a coral reef.
  • Keep an eye on your gear so you don't accidentally damage the coral with it.

Your Environment and Sustainability Team (umwelt@dertouristik.com) wishes you a lot of fun
