Balcony of the Sahara
There are three picturesque oasis villages called Chebika, Tamerza and Mides near the Algerian border. In the middle of the Sahara desert you suddenly and completely unexpectedly appear between the salt and rubble and offer an overwhelming sight.
It is not without reason that they are also called the balcony of the Sahara. Water-rich mountain streams arise here, flow through narrow gorges and pour into waterfalls. They are the basis for the wonderful gardens and the tens of thousands of date palms.
