Shopping: Rule # 1 is action. Pay a maximum of 30% of the suggested price in markets and bazaars, orientate yourself beforehand in department stores and supermarkets with fixed prices. Gelder: The Tunisian currency is the dinar (DT), consisting of 1.000 millimes. The largest banknote is the 50 dinar note. Drinking water: Tap water is not recommended as drinking water, but it is suitable for brushing teeth. Mineral water is available from your hotel.
